Cancún Beach Clubs Ranked — The Honest Guide for 2026

Cancún has more beach clubs per kilometer than almost anywhere in the Caribbean. A handful are genuinely worth the minimum spend. This guide separates them from the rest.

What to know before you go

All Hotel Zone beach clubs operate on a minimum consumption model — you pay a minimum amount upfront ($500–2,000 MXN per person) which converts to food and drink credit. Anything above the minimum is charged additionally. If you don't consume it, you lose it. Factor this into your budget planning.

Mandala Beach — best for music and atmosphere

Kilometer 9.5. The Hotel Zone's highest-energy beach club. International DJs on weekends, strong cocktail program, and a crowd that actually dances on the sand. Minimum: $800–1,200 MXN per person. Best visited Thursday through Saturday for the full experience.

Coco Bongo Beach — best for groups

Kilometer 9. A beach extension of the famous club, designed for large groups who want shows, performances, and constant entertainment. Minimum: $700–1,000 MXN. The right choice if you know what Coco Bongo is and want the beach version of it.

La Destilería Beach — best for food quality

Kilometer 12.65. The best food of any beach club in the zone — actual Mexican cuisine, not generic beach food. Minimum: $600–900 MXN. Quieter than Mandala or Coco Bongo. Better choice for groups who care about eating well.

Playa Mía — best for families

Kilometer 15. Designed for families with children — multiple pools, waterslides, kids' activities, and a calmer environment than the party clubs. Day pass structure: $60–90 USD per adult, $30–45 USD per child.

The honest alternative

Playa Delfines (km 17.5) is free, has a public parking lot, and the same Caribbean views as any beach club. If beach access is the goal and you don't need waitstaff, save the minimum spend and go directly there.
